Preparing your pool for summer

Don’t delay— Beat the rush and secure your appointment before the end of August.

As September approaches, many pool owners realise the need for maintenance or repairs of their pool heating system. This usually creates longer service call wait times of up to two weeks in summer.

By having your pool heating system checked and serviced early, you can rest assured that it will be ready to heat your pool whenever you want to take a dip.

To guarantee your system is ready to heat your pool, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Check your pool heating system

  • Solar System – Switch to Manual Mode:
When your system is in winter mode, it only operates for 3 minutes each day and doesn’t check the connection of temperature sensors. Switching to manual mode allows you to run the system for at least 30 minutes, enabling you to verify the sensors and controller’s functionality. You should be able to see the roof and pool temperature readings if everything is working correctly.
  • Heat Pumps:
If you do not use your heat pump in winter, turn it on and operate it for 30 minutes.
  • Inspect for Leaks and Error Codes:
While checking your system for any error messages, also examine the roof and water pipes for any signs of water leakage. Addressing potential leaks early can prevent further damage and ensure optimal performance.
